Using a pointillistic approach to the weaving technique, the Caldwell simultaneously creates and destroys the image of the pattern, which is then emphasized by the space dyed yarns, giving these rugs a heavily distressed texture for a vintage look and feel. Overall, this technique will create a dark to light or light to dark gradation effect based on yarn exposure during the weaving process. Please note that you may receive a rug that represents either the lighter or darker variation.
